The Call – Independent investigation into #TrumpRussia
Urge your members of Congress to publicly support an independent investigation into Russian interference in our election, the Trump campaign’s ties to Moscow and the President’s financial entanglements with Russia. Every week, new information surfaces contradicting Trump’s repeated claims that neither he nor his campaign had anything to do with Russia. This week, campaign adviser Roger Stone acknowledged multiple on-line conversations with Guccifer 2.0, identified by US Intelligence as Russian intelligence. Stone also claimed that the “Deep State” tried to kill him in a hit and run accident in Florida this week. We also learned that Michael Flynn was paid to attend a dinner with Putin and had multiple other previously undisclosed paid relationships with Russians (while also acting as a foreign agent for Turkey). There are also new revelations about Trump’s long association with Russian oligarchs and shady go-betweens like Felix Sater. Sater is one of the key figures involved Michael Cohen (Trump’s personal lawyer), delivering a Ukraine peace proposal to General Flynn while his was head of the National Security Council. FBI Director Comey and others will testify at a House Intelligence Committee Hearing on Monday, March 20, which may shed further light. However, given the high degree of partisanship in Congress, it’s time to insist on an independent investigation so the American people can have confidence in the results.
Call all three of your members of Congress and ask them to support an independent investigation into Russian subversion in the U.S. election and President Trump’s campaign and financial ties to Moscow.
“Hi. This is [NAME] and I’m a constituent in [ZIP]. I’m calling to push for an independent investigation into the President, his ties to Russia, and Russian interference in our elections. If [Rep/Sen____] doesn’t already support this, I’d love to see them make a point of asking for it given all the new evidence that keeps coming out. Thanks and I greatly appreciate your time.”
